The doctoral program in Leadership and Organizational Management is dedicated to cultivating outstanding scholars in the fields of leadership and organizational management.
Research Areas
There are two main areas of research: organizational behavior and leadership, and human resources development and management. Our research covers various fields such as organizational learning and learning organizations, organizational culture, strategic human resource management, performance and compensation management, team management, subjective well-being, work-life balance, and employee innovation and career development.
Faculty
All faculty members in our department have obtained doctoral degrees from well-known universities at home or abroad. They also have diversified research backgrounds and specializations. The faculty of our department is in a leading position in terms of internationalization and diversity among the various management doctoral programs in China.

Our program offers a carefully designed, high-quality curriculum and developmental system, which are in line with most renowned doctoral programs offered by business schools worldwide.
Academic Research
1. Scientific research projects are high in quantity and quality. The scientific research projects undertaken by our faculty members include both basic science research projects supported by national funding and applied projects entrusted by enterprises, which are conducive to comprehensive cultivation of students.
2. Excellent publications. The papers of our department are published in top international and domestic academic journals, and have been widely included and cited by SCI/SSCI/EI/ISTP/CSSCI.
3. The research environment provides superior conditions. Our faculty members have taught senior managers of enterprises for many years and have a sound cooperative relationship with enterprises. This has created ideal conditions for empirical research. In addition, scientific research is conducted using the school’s Behavior and Communication Lab.

Over the years, the Department of Leadership and Organizational Management has cultivated many outstanding doctoral graduates and postdoctoral fellows who are working in high-level universities and research institutions. Some of our alumni also serve in the leadership positions of their schools.
