Emerging Market Finance Conference

Call for Papers

Starting in 2007, financial research centers around the globe began organizing conferences in the area of emerging market finance. The first conference was held at the Financial Institutions Center, Wharton School, the second conference at Swedish Institute of Financial Research (SIFR) in Stockholm, and the third conference at the Center for Analytical Finance, Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad. The fourth conference will be held at Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, onJuly 7-9, 2010. The conference will begin with a reception on the evening of Wednesday, July 7, and the sessions will be held on Thursday, July 8, and Friday, July 9.

· Keynote speaker:William N. Goetzmann, Edwin J. Beinecke Professor of Finance and Management Studies,Yale University

· Topics: Papers on all aspects of emerging markets finance are welcome. For example,

? The impact of financial crisis on emerging markets and economies

? Regulations, reform, and privatization of financial institutions and markets

? Comparative corporate governance

? Law, institutions, and finance

? Emerging market risks and asset returns

· Paper submission:The deadline for all paper submissions isApril 5, 2010; conference program will be announced and finalized in April.
